We are BigCarp, a company selling products for anglers.
We are Designo Magia s.r.o., with its registered office at Vsetínská 1056, 768 61 Bystřice pod Hostýnem, Company ID: 04368398.
We operate the e-shop on the website www.bigcarp.cz. In order to provide the sale of goods and operate our website, we process certain personal data.
The processing of personal data is governed in particular by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”).
- We mainly use your data to process your order, deliver goods and communicate with you.
- When you shop with us, we may use your e-mail address to send you news and updates, unless you object to this.
- We only share data with necessary partners (e.g. carriers, Shoptet), and the data remains within the EU.
- Cookies help our e-shop function properly, measure traffic and better target offers – we only use extended cookies with your consent.
- You may request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, object to processing and request data portability.
- If you are not satisfied with the way we handle your data, you may contact the Office for Personal Data Protection.
A. Processing of personal data when using the contact form
If you are interested in our products and services, we will work with the contact details you provide to us, mainly through the inquiry form. These are: first name and surname, residential address, e-mail address, telephone contact.
For what reason?
We use them to contact you for further communication regarding the goods.
On what legal basis?
This is processing based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – negotiations on a contract, or taking steps prior to entering into a contract at your request.
How long will we process personal data?
If we do not establish further cooperation, we will process your data for no longer than 10 years from our last communication.
B. Processing of personal data in the event of a purchase
If you purchase from us, we will work with the data you fill in. These are mainly billing details: first name, surname, address, telephone contact, e-mail address.
For what reason?
We need to process personal data in order to fulfill our contract – to deliver our goods to you. We will also use the contact details to communicate with you regarding the status of your order, complaints or your questions. We will also process personal data in order to fulfill our legal obligations (mainly for accounting and tax purposes, or for handling complaints and other matters).
On what legal basis do we process personal data?
This is processing based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract, and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with our legal obligation.
How long will we process personal data?
For the duration of the provision of our service and then for 10 years from the last provision of such service or delivery of goods.
C. Newsletters (commercial communications)
If you are a purchasing customer and did not opt out when making your purchase, we will use your e-mail address to send you our news and updates.
On what legal basis?
This is permitted by Section 7(3) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on certain information society services, unless you objected when making your purchase.
How long will we process personal data?
10 years from your last purchase. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the e-mail, or contact us at: info@bigcarp.cz.
Your data remains with us. However, some companies or other persons work for us and may access the data because they help us operate our e-shop. These are:
- the operator of the e-shop platform Shoptet (company Shoptet a.s., with its registered office at Dvořeckého 628/8, Břevnov, 169 00 Prague 6, Company ID 289 35 675, registered with the Municipal Court in Prague, Section B, Insert 25 395),
- companies involved in shipping goods (DPD, Zásilkovna, Česká pošta).
We process personal data only within the territory of the European Union.
Our company has not appointed a Data Protection Officer.
Our company does not make decisions based on automated processing or profiling.

If you believe that we are not handling your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection, or assert your claims before a court.
These terms are effective from 1 January 2022.
